How do you plan a wedding in 9 months?
I've made a list of everything we have to organise. It's rather scary seeing everything written down and then a brief estimate of how much it will cost!
Our first task was to book Trani cathedral. It was quite a feat to find it available for several dates in May 2005 when we wanted it. We were advised that before we booked the date, to find a restaurant that was also available. We found a nice place in Canosa, about a half hour drive out of Trani and where Felice's sister got married several years ago. When we arrived I immediately knew that this was the place I wanted. From the outside it almost looks like a little palace with a winding staircase leading to one of the 4 rooms on offer. Not only that but the gardens with fountains are tranquil and there's an enticing swimming pool, but somehow I don't think there will be much swimming on the day itself!
We were pleased to discover that the room we preferred was available on one of the dates we had discussed with the cathedral. Wow, I thought, this is all going to plan!
So everything has been booked (including our choice of menu, I hope the English guests prepare themselves for the amount of food they will be eating!) Now its a case of organising the photographer, flowers, car, invitations ......
